Here's how Nickelodeon Universe is celebrating its 10th birthday

The indoor theme park opened this week in 2008.

Want to feel old? It's been 10 years since Nickelodeon Universe opened at the Mall of America.

Yes, this week marks a decade since the giant theme park that dominates the center of the Mall of America threw open its doors to the public.

It came two years after the MOA parted ways with the beloved Camp Snoopy, which had resided at the megamall since it opened in 1992, after failing to come to an extended agreement with the MOA.

It remains one of the most popular attractions in Minnesota, featuring 27 rides including rollercoasters and Nickelodeon character-themed rides like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shell Shock.

The State of Minnesota still claims its the largest indoor theme park in the world – though since opening it has been usurped by not one, but two amusement parks in Dubai.

How is it celebrating?

The day to get to the MOA will be this coming Saturday, when it holds a 10-hour birthday event mainly in the Rotunda.

It's promising fun, entertainment, "and of course, SLIME" for those attending.

Here's the full schedule (events are in the Rotunda unless otherwise stated.)
