Stillwater stairs fundraiser to benefit Youth Advantage

Stillwater’s outdoor staircases will be the site of a fundraiser this weekend for Youth Advantage, a nonprofit that helps children from low-income families participate in athletic, arts and educational-enrichment activities.

The fifth annual “Dick Olsen Legacy Stairs of Stillwater” 5K walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pioneer Park, with activities and day-of registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. The end of the walk in Lowell Park will feature Live music, refreshments and free trolley rides back to the starting line.

The cost is $75 per family, $25 per adult, $15 per child or $10 per team member; teams must consist of a group of 10 or more participants ages 6-18 who are encouraged to wear their school or club team jerseys.
