Thursday open house in White Bear Lake to review potential Rush Line transit stops

Planning continues for a 14-mile bus rapid transit project between St. Paul’s Union Depot and downtown White Bear Lake.

With potential locations for White Bear Lake transit stations in mind, Ramsey County staff will host an open house Thursday.

Rush Line proposed alignment, June 2017

The open house takes place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at White Bear Lake City Hall, 4701 U.S. 61. Light refreshments will be served, and results of an Oct. 11 listening session on potential station locations will be put on display. The Rush Line is also inviting residents to fill out an online survey at tinyurl.com/RushLineStations.

The BRT line, which is currently under environmental analysis, is expected to service 21 transit stations, including Union Depot, Payne Avenue, Maryland Avenue, Larpenteur Avenue and Maplewood Mall before entering White Bear Lake.

Trips would depart every 10 to 15 minutes, from early morning to late at night.
