St. Catherine University, St. Paul, announced it has named Benson K. Whitney dean of the School of Business. Whitney served as the U.S. Ambassador to Norway from 2005-2009.

Syngenta Seeds’ facilities in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and North Carolina have been recognized for outstanding safety performance in the workplace as part of the Syngenta Goal Zero safety initiative. Syngenta, based in Switzerland, has U.S. operations headquartered in Minnetonka.

Northwestern Health Sciences University, Bloomington, announced that Lori Lauber and
Desiree Whitney have been appointed to its board of trustees. Lauber is a senior director in the Twin Cities offices of Broadridge Financial Solutions; Whitney owns a yoga studio and school in Boerne, Texas, and works as a consultant after serving in philanthropic fundraising positions in Minnesota and Texas.
