Tornado touch-downs, funnel clouds reported in northwestern Douglas County Wednesday, starting at about 5:15 p.m.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has received multiple reports of funnel clouds in the northwest part of the county, including the Brandon-Evansville area Wednesday evening, July 8. At about 5:20 p.m., a funnel cloud was spotted five miles west of Brandon, heading north northwest. Tornado touch-downs were reported near Millerville and Evansville. No damage had been reported as of 5:25 p.m. The sheriff's office was sounding sirens in those areas. At about 5:30 p.m., weather spotters in Douglas County reported that the tornado activity was moving north into Otter Tail County. A tornado was reported on the ground near Underwood. Douglas County is under a thunderstorm watch until midnight.
