No one struck by gunfire after male shoots at St. Paul officer, police return fire

A male shot at a St. Paul police officer on Monday and at least one officer returned fire, according to the police department.

No one was shot in the incident on the East Side, though an officer had a minor injury from the struggle.

The suspect hadn’t been located in the incident, which happened in the 900 block of Algonquin Avenue just before 6 p.m., as of Monday night.

Police said they would be releasing additional information later Monday.
