South Dakota to open COVID-19 vaccines to those with 1 medical condition

The next group up for the COVID-19 vaccine in South Dakota previously would have been those with two underlying medical conditions. But the state's decision to broaden the number of those who qualify reflects officials' optimism at vaccination progress in the state, said state Health Secretary Kim Malsam-Rysdon, on a media briefing call.
